From the Assessor's Office…

• Q. Do I have to apply each year for the BASIC STAR exemption?
  A. If this is your primary residence, and you had previously filled out the BASIC STAR exemption, you do not have to reapply each year.

• Q. Are there any other exemptions I should know about?
  A. Any person who owns a home that will be turning 65 years of age or older should contact our office. We will supply the necessary forms and tell you what information we need from you. If you are a Veteran, please contact our office for a Veteran's exemption form.

Enhanced STAR forms will be mailed from the Assessor's office in December and must be filled out and returned to our office by Marc 1st of the following year.
